Hythe Environmental CG is all about a community-led approach to making the Hythe area a more fulfilling, sustainable and environmentally aware place to live. They aim to help people reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, reduce excess waste, improve the recycling of what waste they do produce, improve the visual impact of the area and increase their appreciation of the areas flora and fauna. They split their activities into Sub-Groups with many projects and activities to join in with.
Bumblebees are familiar and much-loved insects that pollinate our crops and wildflowers, so people are rightly worried. With disappearing nature corridors, urgent action is needed to provide habitat and protect their populations.
The Sandgate Society works to promote the community and protect the heritage of Sandgate. The website is home to a fantastic archive of old photos as well as promoting the numerous and varied events the society put on both for members and the local community.

Sandgate Parish Council directly manages the local library, the seafront public conveniences, and kiosk; two village greens, a war memorial, Sandgate Park in Military Road, and Enbrook Valley Park in Fremantle Road.
