Sandgate Watch
Sandgate Watch was set up by Sandgate Environmental Action (SEA) to observe and record all aspects of nature within the Sandgate Parish boundary.
This community project came about because we couldn’t answer the question, ‘are there hedgehogs in Sandgate?’ This led to the question, ‘what exactly is living and growing on our shore, woods, parks, gardens, hanging baskets and pots and planters?’ If we want to look after our flora and fauna and encourage more, then knowing what we’ve got is important. Anybody can join in and it’s a great way of learning more about the rich and diverse nature of Sandgate Parish.
How to get involved...
The easiest way to take part is to download the iNaturalist app register and then join the project Sandgate Watch.
